This flashcard maker stores decks in your browser and schedules reviews with the Leitner system: a card you answer correctly moves up a box and returns after a longer gap, while one you miss drops to box 1 and comes back the same day. No account, no upload, and it works offline.
It schedules each review for just before you would have forgotten the material. Recalling something at that moment strengthens the memory far more than re-reading it does, so you retain more from fewer total minutes than you would from daily review of everything.
In your browser's local storage on this device only. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no account and no sync — which also means your decks do not follow you to another device and clearing site data deletes them. Export anything you would be sorry to lose.
Yes. Paste JSON exported from this tool, or a plain list with one card per line — a comma, tab or em dash all work as the separator between the front and the back. Most people arrive with material in a document or spreadsheet rather than in any tool's format.
Because a card you have genuinely forgotten is not "slightly less known". Demoting by a single box lets cards you keep missing drift upward on lucky guesses, so they stop appearing often enough to ever be learned.
