Qualcomm Snapdragon is a family of mobile system-on-chip processors that Qualcomm designs and sells to smartphone and, increasingly, laptop manufacturers, integrating a CPU, GPU, modem, and AI accelerator on a single chip. It is the most widely used chip platform across Android phones from many different brands, and Qualcomm has extended the line into ARM-based Windows laptops as well. Unlike Apple's A-series or M-series chips, which Apple builds only for its own products, Snapdragon chips are sold as a component to many different device manufacturers.

Snapdragon addresses the need most smartphone manufacturers have for a capable, pre-built mobile chip platform, since designing a competitive custom chip from scratch requires resources that only a small number of the largest phone makers can justify.
