Security Misconfiguration and SSRF Basics

Security misconfiguration is the gap between software that could be secure and software that is actually configured securely. Default credentials left unchanged, verbose error pages, unnecessary features enabled, and permissive settings all fall here. It is one of the most common categories precisely because secure code shipped with insecure settings is still insecure, and every layer of the stack has settings to get wrong.
